About two weeks ago I cracked my phone's screen. Badly, so it looks like I got a spider web on it. Fortunately it still works and I am able to use it as before, even though it is harder to read on it.

My question is: are the screens from eBay or aliexpress good? Are they any different from the original one in terms of resolution and responsiveness?
I am aware the quality is ****tier, but I am looking for a cheaper alternative to the GSM services repair option.

Many of the screens available on eBay are OEM replacements. I've ordered a ton of Z10 replacement screen/case replacements on eBay and most have worked fine. In some cases, they've been defective (bad LCD, proximity sensor, or speaker). I ordered a replacement Z30 screen about a year ago and it worked great. Very easy to replace too!

I got a replacement screen from Ebizworld via Amazon.co.uk, quality is great, almost certain it's a real one. Not so the white screen I got for my girlfriend from E shop trade also via Amazon.co.uk which was clearly a far inferior product, prone to chipping on the top edge and stopped working after a couple of months.

FYI incredibly easy to replace the screen on a Z30.

Thank you guys for the answers. I already have the tools and the skills, I used to repair iPhones in the past. The main worry was about the clarity of the screen, since the iPhone ones were ****.

Sorry to tell you but it was all OEM not the Original. But they are in good quality. You just have to look for the best distributor from aliexpress or ebay. Cheers

I ordered from Amazon.Com a few weeks back. The name of the company was Top Gadgets, Inc. They shipped fast and received it very quickly. Just make sure you know if your device is a CMDA Version or a GSM Version because the screens connect in a different location. It was $ 50 and they give you the installation kit as well. You won't be disappointed.

How do I determine which version of the Z30 I have, CDMA or GSM?

My model is the STA100-5. It was purchased originally from Telus.

Verizon's is the only cdma Z30. But as a consolation, we did get wireless/Qi charging as a bonus!

But just trying to find which screen type on those Amazon sites/sub-sellers is nearly impossible.

Try ETrade Supply. They have a screen with digitizer and frame kit that fits the Verizon model. You can also switch to a white screen. I bought mine shattered for $100USD. Easy to repair EDIT: parts are available ; questions? Live chat is helpful.
