So pulled the trigger on the Z30 and after seeing the announcement I am glad I did! I don't know what I was expecting but it was more than what I saw. Mostly I disliked how the US got the short end of the stick processor wise

Not exactly sure what you mean. Can you explain in more detail?

I'm assuming you're were deciding between the new HTC one, and the Z30 and were not happy with the new HTC? As for processor, what do you mean by short end of the stick?

    CPUQuad-core 1.7 GHz Krait 300
    GPUAdreno 320

HTC one. While the Z30 is a dual core 1.7 GHz krait with adreno 320. So no is not a significant difference and did not get the short end of the stick.

US version of the HTC One M8 has a slightly slower micro than the Asian version, by 200Mhz. Not a huge difference. There's no real good performance comparison to the Z30 micro, since they aren't running the same code.

Let's compare intel vs AMD! Amd is better because it's got 8 cores!

By that reasoning, so is the Moto X!

By the processor I meant I don't like how the international version gets a better processor. Not just the CPU but the GPU and ISP as well. I don't understand how that wasn't clear unless some of you didn't know that...

The Android apps however need the power. I will give the Sony Z2 a try as a second (respectively third) phone for weekends. But I will definitely keep the Z30.
