35k-50k (sold here in the U.S). You can get the moto x for next to nothing, the iPhone 5s (especially the gold) will probably be the must have device for the next couple of months, not to mention the note III. The z30 will flop hard (not because it's a bad device), due to the level of competition. A lot of young adults will be getting smartphones for the first time this year, and a lot of them will choose Apple, Samsung, and Motorola. Bbm4all is the icing on the cake, unless you prefer a device with an inferior ecosystem.

Not laughable IMO. Why would anyone buy the z30? The design isn't cutting edge (it looks huge for a 5 inch device), not to mention it's competing against superior products. Who's going to buy the z30? It won't be the consumers looking for the best business/entertainment apps. I'm willing to bet my cb account that this bomb hard like the z10 (maybe even worse).

I have no idea how well the Z30 is going to do. I would like to see it do great. Those bashing the Z30 just to bash the latest BlackBerry device should just move on. For a BlackBerry phone it is the best we have seen yet and I have ordered one. Paid quite well for it. Why, because it is the device that works for me. I don't care for Android or iPhones. They are great phones, but not my choice.

The Z30 will probably do pathetically, here in the USA considering that Verizon is the only carrier offering it, and without advertising, so I don't expect much in the way of success for the phone here in the USA.

They will sell lots, quite the buzz on the streets about the Z30 here in Canada. And the BBM cross platform thing even has the younger android and iphone users looking at them with love in their eyes. We have the Z30 in testing where I work, looks like it's going to go company wide with a roll-out starting in December. Thats almost 4000 devices right there. A fellow tech nerd buddy of mine who works in information services for the RCMP, says they will be rolling them out soon nation wide as well. That's thousands more devices.

This Z30 is by far the best blackberry device ever made and possibly the best overall mobile communications device ever made as well.
