    Why is the ring for an incoming call SO loud?

    I have the volume set almost as low as it will go, yet when the phone rings it is a little better but still quite loud.

    But now with the volume set so low, I can barely hear the tones for incoming texts, emails, etc.

    Any ideas?

    You can set up each notification volume individually...
    Swipe down>settings>notifications
    Go through each sub/menue to set up each mode (silent, normal, virbating).
    Even for each contact and Apps.
    All this, independantly from the actual volume of the device (which you modify with volume buttons)

    On the Applications Notifications screen I have tapped on "phone". The options are: All alerts, Sound, Tone, Vibrate, LED. There is nothing (that I can see) that allows me to adjust the individual volume for the phone ring. It just has "On/Off".

    On the main Notifications screen, I see a 'slider' to adjust the volume listed under "Sound".

    Am I missing something?

    Go to Settings>Notifications. There is a volume slider for all notifications that controls their volume. This is the one that controls the phone ring level

    The other volume control under Settings >Main Volume is for media and apps

    Your screen shot is in the "Notifications" screen while Chris Chin's screenshot is in the "Applications -Phone" screen.

    @wojciechp

    When the volume for the phone ringer is decreased, so are the alerts for emails. messages, etc which makes them very hard to hear.

    With my 9780, there were separate volumes for the phone ring, email/ message alerts, etc. So you could have the phone ringer lower while the volume on the other alerts were a little higher.

    Hopefully this will come as part of 10.3.1 update
