    I was given a Z30 n I don't know the original provider n when I insert my Sim card it's says that the Sim card isn't compatible n that the device is network locked. How can I fix this for free

    I'm not sure you can fix this for free, short of find the original carrier and getting them to do it. But of course unless you are their customer, they probably won't.

    In some countries you can. Some places it is the law that all carriers have to unlock their phones after some time, even if you are not currently a customer.

    Who is your provider? Maybe plead ignorance and see if they can help you determine who the original carrier was. Or, try one of the online unlock code services. I don't think they need to know who the original carrier was, but as already mentioned, it might cost you 20$ or so.

    You need to know the original carrier to unlock your device. If the seller or giver still has (or you have theirs) contact information, get in touch and ask what carrier it was originally from, and then get it unlocked. Simple really.
