I'm really frustrated with Verizon. I'm not interested in their salespeople's input on what phone I want and their unsolicited negativity towards the Z30 is quite out of place and irritating. They go oddly out of their way to discourage its purchase. No matter, and I have decided to buy it elsewhere since they don't stock it anyway.

So, I think the model I need for CDMA is the 100-2, is that correct?

Where can I buy this model, unlocked, NEW, (no refurbish will be acceptable)?

The Verizon model is 100-3. That's the one you want for CDMA - it does GSM as well. You can purchase it from Verizon.com.

Ah, thank you. Is there a benefit buying it elsewhere unlocked? I would strongly prefer to buy it without Verizon's fingerprints on it.

The cheapest I've seen unfortunately is with Verizon. Amazon has it but if you're like most of us and purchasing it outright it's 70 bucks more on amazon.

You can but it outright at Verizonwireless.com. Add it to your cart with Verizon Edge. You can then change it to "Order device without service" and you will not have to select any plan.

As bad as the in store reps are, the phone reps were great. Happy to help and got me my Z30 quickly. Also pick up the Verizon TPU gel as it is the only one with TPU protecting the silver bezel (I have three others). Just never step into a Verizon retail store again. I switched from ATT to get the phone. The combination of wireless charging and excellent cell service has made me a happy Verizon Customer. Their stores suck.

I just noticed that when I'm not logged into my verizon account the price is 549.99 to purchase outright. When I log in to place the order it goes to 599.99. It also adds 50 bucks to the upgrade price. 199 turns to 249. Wth?

MGO, I took your advice and simply called. Painless, and the new phone should be in my hands tomorrow. I think the rep erred on line charges because the confirmation shows more than just the phone, but that shouldn't be difficult to straighten out once the phone is in my possession.

For some reason the rep couldn't find any accessories for the phone so I'll have to take care of those on my own.

I got mine a week ago from the Verizon customer service,it is the most advantage gadget I ever had,better than any android or craphone,anyway when I hooked the phone to the computer,Sachesi software says the Verizon z30 is already unlocked,well once I'm a truck driver I'm kind of hoping that my Z30 has the Canadian radios for 4G for rogers,anyway other than this I'm loving it,the the z30 not only meets but exceeds my expectations it is and awesome cellphone.

Do not try to get anything in the retail stores. They have NOTHING. If you go online on VZW wireless you will see the tpu gel. Good luck and enjoy the phone.
