Loving my new Z30! Just arrived today, however, the audio call quality is scratchy with static as per the person I'm speaking to.

I've resorted to lowering the call volume but this isn't ideal. Also thought my sim card might not have been installed properly, so reinserted it but still have problems. Haven't tried hd calls yet. I just need the audio to be better for regular calls.

Anyone else? Any possible solutions? Thanks.

What carrier are you on and did you leave the factory os or have loaded a new one.

With Rogers. I left the OS that was on it. Ran the update to 10.2.0.1803

All calls so far though one call to my employer was clear.

Probably is carrier issue, I would try loading the 1809 leak and if that doesn't fix it I would return under warranty.

No problems with my Z10 and wife and daughter have zero problems on their iPhones. I fear it's a problem with the phone itself.

Question: Would a factory reset be worth a try? (sorry, factory reset or security wipe?)

It's always worth a shot, try the hard reset by holding the volume up and down buttons for about 30 seconds until you see the blue loading circle.
