The one that I link to above is a cheap Chinese one. It works well.

Thanks. I was also wondering specifically about ones like this:

HI762 Wifi Display Dongle Adapter Miracast Dlna Airplay FOR Smartphone Tablet | eBay

    and

Freelander AP20 Wifi Dongle Adapter Dlna Miracast Airplay FOR Smartphone Tablet | eBay

They all refer to 1080P streaming support, although from what I read on this forum, video streaming is choppy in general, even with more expensive brand name models.

Choppy video is a symptom of your network not Miracast. Miracast needs a good network.

I wouldn't be concerned about 1080p. Miracast uses compression and the video will always be softer than it would be over HDMI.

Static stuff like a spreadsheet looks sharp but video will look softer.

Choppy video related to poor network?

    Please clarify and explain.

My network seems plenty good enough and smooth when running apple tv, Netflix etc.

Only miracast video streaming is choppy.

What I mean is that the connection between your phone and the adapter may be poor. I have found that moving the adapter around so that there is no obstruction affects whether the video is smooth or not. These adapters don't provide for a very strong signal but I can get smooth video with all of my adapters.

Also make sure there is not a lot of bluetooth or wifi networks in range. The more of those their are the worse the miracast.

I've purchased the Woxter 110 dongle for ?29 and works smoothly...unless you're more than 2 meters away from it.
I can stream movies fine but if I'm a bit away it gets choppy

One thing I discovered is that other wifi devices can interfere with the Miracast signal. I brought a Miracast dingle with me on a trip and was streaming video just fine. But, every time I picked up my tablet and took it out of sleep, I would get stutters.

Thanks to this thread and the active list of available miracast adapters on the market, look what I was able to snag over lunch!

The last one at the Sony store! They got two the other day, one was purchased by an employee and I got the other.

Can't wait to go home and try it.

    Has NFC capability too.

Can you tell me if it only mirrors your android environment, since this was made for the Sony Experia Z I believe, or does it mirror the BB10 screen as well just as the Net gear PTV3000 does?

I tried the Ezcast but that doesn't work as it can only mirror from an Android environment, and it didn't work with the Z30.
