I had same issue as OP.

So what I did was using link, moved all my pics, videos and documents from Z10 to desktop host. Then moved everything again from desktop to Z30.

As for the contacts, I just put Z10 beside z30 and blue toothed the contacts over. Quite easy.

Settings I just had to redo manually. Not a huge deal. And I don't really use remember app as I prefer cloud based type services.

But agree. It still would have been nice to just use link to move everything over in one shot.

Oh, btw, the Z30 rocks! Light years better than the z10

I was also curious about how smooth the Z10 → Z30 transfer went for anyone, as I just might acquire one soon and obviously haven't done a BB10 to BB10 switch ever.

I just finished,.. Z10 (10.2.1.1055) to Z30 (10.2.1.1055) Back up Z10, Security wipe of Z30, Load OS, security wipe, Restore from Z10 (10.2.1.1055) backup, setup my emaill and such, Hard reset and WA LA! Running smooth! Good Luck, love this OS on the Z30, happy then a bird fed CAT!

Not sure if "device switch" app in blackberry world would work in this situation but give it a shot.

Verry frustrated. I have 10.2.0.424 on my Z10 and 10.2.0.415 on my Z30. Cant restore to the Z30.
No Z30 updates available for 10.2.0.424 and I'm not tech savvy enough to run autoloader and or change back up file version.
Why the hell would BBRY screw this up like this? So basically, I have to hope that maybe one day I will get the same update for the Z30. That's ridiculous. Or spend hours to re enter everything by hand.

For the millionth time, updates are controlled by your network and not BlackBerry. It is down to your carrier to push the update out to your phone, not BlackBerry. Ringing them they will say the same. If u really want the update then use sachesi to download and update your device via your computer. Instructions are in the leaked Os forum.

As for me?? I switched between devices pretty easily. My z30 took all my data from my z10 without a hitch, thats both phones on the latest OS.
