    Howdy all,

So in preparation for my newly purchased z30 to arrive (yay!), I have begun to scope out cases. I like my cases. I am always on the prowl for the perfect one.. I have, at last count, like 5 for Q10.

I have already acquired a flip leather case as a lightweight case for the z30 and am looking for a more serious case to protect my investment for when Im out and about (as Im an avid outdoorsman)..

My two finalists are the Trident Aegis and Otterbox Commuter.. I have both for my Q10 and while I love the aegis, I find myself with the commuter more often because its more streamline and skinnier. I realize the aegis is sort of a mix between the defender and commuter, so its sort of like comparing oranges and mandarins- but so be it.

Any thoughts? Id love to see some side by side comparisons for sizing.. Im leaning towards commuter because of my experience with the q10 commuter but its such a pain to get on and off. The aegis is much easier but still feels like its protecting the beast...

    Thanks!

I eventually chose the Otterbox Commuter case simply because it doesn't hide the BlackBerry symbol on the back.

Neither does defender, which I use.

I have the defender and commuter. Defender for weekdays, commuter for weekends. I work in construction.

This was the same decision I had to make. I went with the computer. Had it on for about 3 weeks and took it off again as I felt it took something away from the experience. Curious to see what people have to say about the Aegis now.

Okay. Good points about the commuter showing the back BlackBerry logo- love that!

I really liked the aegis tridents buttons. They were super easy to push but didn't get pushed accidently it seemed for my q10. The buttons on the commuter are a bit harder to push and don't offer as much tactile feedback.

Pounded out on the last great qwerty to rule them all.. Q10

Hows the thickness compare? Ive heard this z30 commuter is quite thick, especially considering the commuters are usually the skinny otterbox
