I downloaded 102.1.2126 as a 323mb update. It then froze and said it was interrupted at about 80% of installation. Then is started downloading another installation file of 1.1GB.

In a best case scenario if the OS currently on the device is fairly recent and in good condition, it will only download a small update "delta" installer and update only the needed components.

If the incremental update is not possible or could not work for some reason, it will download and install the entire OS. That's what happened in your case.

Glad it sounds like everything worked out for you in the end.

But it will take a few more updates before we have same functionality as OS7.

If you mean "clock of death", dog-slow web browsing, various email limitations, slow app installs that require a reboot for every install, 5 minute restart time, etc etc.. I'll pass. BB10 already provides many things that OS7 never did.

I'm glad I was talked out of os 7 lol

has anybody experience horrible battery life since the update? On my gf's Z30, it went from 40% battery life to the red zone in less than an hour. She said it's been like this for the last 2 days (ever since the update)

In some cases it will use the battery a lot for the first hours or days after update, depending on how the update was executed.

If it's another issue, there is a very handy tool to help to get to the bottom of what is draining the battery. Just go to Settings/App Manager/Device Monitor, verify it is on the "Battery" tab, select the desired timeframe on top in the dropdown, and the processes/apps using the most battery over the selected timeframe will be listed in descending order.

If you don't know what to do with that info, post a screenshot of that list here and I will give you some input on it.

I got the update to 10.2 back in February.
Currently this is what I'm running:

    Software Release: 10.2.1.537
    OS Version: 10.2.1.1925
    Build ID: 648923
    Radio Version: 10.2.1.1899

Last night I received the update notification for OS Version 10.2.1.2122 (43MB)

I came here to see if there were any issues before I install the update but I'm very confused. It seems like some of you are getting different updates. Are the different updates being released yesterday dependent upon whether or not you installed the February update?

I'm just trying to figure out if I should do this install or not. I don't want to go backwards and I don't want to lose all my texts like I've seen a few people mention.

Anyone in the same boat as me? If so, please advise.

    Thanks.

I would recommend it from what I've personally seen. The update was painless, and everything seems to be running great.

You're not going backwards with your OS version. The OS on mine is 10.2.1.2180. Our SR numbers are a little different as mine is 10.2.1.2126.
