I'm just worried about the band stuff because of 3G and 4G. I saw somewhere BlackBerry will make 6 different types of z30, each one with a different band for a different location.

Well, at least two have been officially announced so far (and by "officially announced," I mean the manuals are out): the STA100-2, and the 100-5.

And lucky for you, since you're in Brazil, I think either of the two models will work, because they both have the bands for Brazil (at least Claro's and Vivo's bands.) Take a look at this thread, and look at the -2 and -5 specifically.

Example of what I've been saying... there are 5 Million BB10 Devices that have been sold, but only 2 or 3 million unique users. Many of the die hard fans are buying multiple devices.

compared to the Z10 the keyboard is for me much better as i have big fingers. typing is a charm...
    Thanks Tomas...Couple of Q's...

    1. How's the weight compared to the Z10?
    2. Hows the size/feel in your hand with it in comparison?
    3. How's the battery life in comparison...My Z10 drains at a rate beyond fast when using navigation with the maps app. Great app, but man!

How is the boot up time, any faster then the z10 with 10.2 OS? I thought I read some where that it loads in less than 40 seconds.

    Posted via CB10
When I first got my Z10, it sure loaded pretty fast, but not so much these days...Seems the apps create latency.

Can you tell if the battery looks like it could be swapped out without desoldering?

Yes according to him he could remove it without desoldering but he is using the non production model X00 (I think), I haven't read feedback if it's the same for the production model

    Considerably bigger than the Z10
For me it feels much better in my hand (Z10 now seems too small)
Battery is amazing - no comparison to the Z10. I used to have to charge my Z10 multiple times throughout the day. With the Z30 is typically end my day with ~30% left.

I never ever have to worry about battery life on the Z30. I find myself being rather conservative in usage when using the Z10 to make it through the day; with the Z30 not at all. No longer do I feel I need to adapt to the phone's battery life limitations. Z30 is a little heavy holding the phone with 1 hand for over 15 minutes. Rounded edges makes it feel more ergonomic than the Z10; feels nicer to grasp.

The glass durability is not comparable to the galaxy s3 though. I already have way more scratches on it from my pocket than the S3 I've had for longer. That is the only real disappointing thing for me. You have been warned.

That's why people put anti scratching screens... they are used on all my devices.

This is what I'd really like to know too. It's an important issue to take into consideration, before investing in a Z30.

Also, how is the typing experience in portrait mode? I've been using the Q10 since launch day in Canada and absolutely love the keyboard. And the BB10 OS is so good, that I've found myself using it a ton for web browsing and media, which the Q10 screen is a bit small to fully enjoy.

So, I'm going to get the Z30 and try it out, if the virtual keyboard experience doesn't cut it for me, I'm going to give hubby the Z30 and continue on with my Q10.
