so first impression for the battery:
left the house at 6.30 fully charged. now home at 7:20 and the battery says 46%. my Z10 had to be recharged at latest 2 o'clock...
I use it with 3 email accounts, facebook, crackberry, twitter, linkedin, phone calls, pretty heavy usage. I am impressed with the battery life. I hope it stays like that. And i have surely used my phone more than usual as colleagues asked frequently to show it off...

    just for conditions:
full brightness on and 4G all the time...

Lol. FYI, the STA100-2 won't get you better than HSPA+ in Canada (unless you're a Bell or Rogers customers in one of their LTE 2600 areas.)

More than a little envious here in Canada. Thanks for sharing the screen shots.
I can see from the box pictures at the top of the thread that this is listed as "Middle East" model (STA100-2)

    BlackBerry Z30 smartphone STA100-2:
    • Quad band FD-LTE (1, 3, 7, 8, 20) + MIMO
    • Quad band UMTS/HSPA+ (1, 2, 5/6, 8)
    • Quad band GSM/GPRS/EDGE

There is a great easy-reading write up on the various models over at BerryReview :
BlackBerry Z30 Coming in Six Models To Support Different Carrier Bands (STA100-X) - BerryReview

Was your device locked to a carrier or unlocked? Do you mind sharing the price you paid for it?

    Thanks again!

When you say 7:20 you mean 19h20 (or 7:20 pm), right?
    This is impressive!

Congrats. But damn even your Os is old as it does'nt have face detect option. They should of come out with this first. But 295 ppi is pretty low compared to LCD 356 ppi of Z10.Even smaller ugly oled Q10 is 300+ 326. The one after this Im intrested in I dont think I will get my dream LCD 5 inch phone unless I hack an LG device. But yeah looks alright I dont like the top why didnt they just make it look like the 10? its all plasticly looking and strange. At some point i'll check it out in a store. It is a 5 inch era.But the Q30 and the bigger Z30 will be intresting head turners.

Question OP which back material is best??

2150 AED? That is an excellent price and that should have been the price for the Z10 and possibly even the Q10 from the beginning.

Hello. Thanks for posting. I want to make sure I'm understanding this correct: according to what you have looked at, there are two different STL100-2s? Because as far as official documentation goes, there's only 1 variant each of STL100-1, 2, and 4. STL100-3 is the only one that has 2 variants. See here.

These specs seem to match up with what I have for STA100-2 (except for one extra LTE band that I wasn't sure of in the first place.) Thanks!
Yes - that correct. I was surprised too.

This is the data I received for the STL 100-2. I assume the numbers af ther SKU number refers to frequency bands:

    SKU1 (1,2,5/6) – All models
    2100mHz
    1900mHz
    800/850mHz

    SKU2 – 1,4,8
    All models
    2100mHz
    1700mHz
    900mHz

I have no idea if the hardware is identical, but "limited" due to a factory setting or they have different hardware.
For Denmark we have SKU1. I was informed that in this particular case the SKU2 was from UK.
