I miss my Nokia phone with an FM radio.
It was handy at times and didn't use data like streaming apps do, plus local sports are usually blacked out online but free over the air.

Would you use one on your blackberry?

While we are at it, what about Digital TV? Possible on a small device? practical?

FM Radio is already appearing in some latest BB 10.2 builds for every device except for the Z10 because of the hardware limits. As for TV, sure.... if you live in Hong Kong or Korea. Not practical in North America. There's no ISDB-T broadcasting that I know of, it's all carrier related here wherein they offer streaming.

Digital TV was already incorporated in some China made mobile phones, some years ago... I got one of those and enjoying local broadcast TV coverage (yes, it got this so-called "Microscopic Antenna") plus FM radio - until the unit fell down into a solid concrete, more than 5 feet above the ground and broken up into small parts like micro-meteorite stone entered earth's atmosphere...

It is actually a good concept... but probably not profitable to both phones' manufaturers, the third party developers and the internet service providers...

There is a hardware FM Tuner inside BB10 devices (-Z10) and you can`t use it until 10.2 ?

OS 10.2.1.XXX has FM tuner support for Q5, Q10 and Z30! But even the latest leak 10.2.1.6XX is a very early version and we should start seeing some great features in the coming weeks! So if you like to start using FM radio on an official OS, you will have to wait at least until Q1 14!

I expect good working leaks in November/December

@TV in Europe DVB-H was introduced as a great working standard, but carriers didn't liked it and the service did dissappear in many areas...

    http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/DVB-H

In most cases both Radio and TV have as common problem that it stands in conflict with carriers business model to sell mobile Data!

Through the Music App. Bottom icons, you'll see Radio.
