Is there a way to find them in hub, or in the account?

Op, What os are you on?
If 10.2.1, go into the hub settings, then display and actions, in there you will see a section called pinch filter criteria. Set this to unread.
Now in the hub, you can pinch and it will display unread emails. Do the opposite (finger and thumb apart) and you are back to normal

Thanks all. Not yet on 10.2.1. I've passed this along to others.
