Hi guys. I just got the Z30 but can't find the equaliser for when I'm listening to music through my headphones.

Anyone know where it is?

BB10 OS does not have a built in equalizer. For me, since I'm a bit of an audiophile, I bought Neutron Media Player and it works fantastic. But if you don't want to spend money, I surmise you can sideload something or maybe find a free app that does.

Does neutron remove the slight static i hear when I plug my headphones in?

I'm very doubtful. Haven't used this phone for music since then, was such a disappointment in that respect.
