Hi guys, this is interesting.i do not know if this had been posted before... I am deep in my ZedThir30 and I find myself trying to swipe on my iPhone most of the time when I drop the ZedThir30 to check on the iPhone.

One particular swipe I try to do is the 2 finger swipe down to remove the keyboard and swiping in the keyboard to reveal numbers and symbols.

I'd like to know if you guys subconsciously do that also and which swipe gesture do you try the most?

When my girlfriend or my friends ask me to do something on their phones: read an email, when they're showing pictures, change a setting, type in a contact number, etc, I would swipe up to wake their phones.

I'd also swipe down for punctuation, or peek at the hub. I'd also catch myself swiping up to exit out of an app. And I've only had BlackBerry 10 for 3 months!

It's so second nature now for me.

    Back with BlackBerry!

I could be crazy but I think HTC took the swipe up to unlock from BlackBerry but instead if swiping from the bottom of the screen you swipe from the middle up.

    I believe it's in the M8

^THIS! Every time I pick up family members iPhone's and then try and close out an app, I instinctively try to swipe up and not just once or twice either. It's as though my brain can't comprehend the fact I have to push a button in order to exit out of something instead of swiping up.

I get quite annoyed by it and normally start calling their iPhones a few choice words!

    Look! It's Zedzilla 30!

    Ha! Ha! Ha! LMAO!

I thought it was just me and my aging mind!

Just over two months now on my Z30 and now that I got an Android (again) a couple weeks ago, I'm reaching for the power button up top (I don't always slide).
Then, on the Android, I keep flicking up to get my running programs, getting OK Google instead.
There are others too between the both of them.

    It's all very entertaining.

Just goes to show how the gestures just become second nature. Meanwhile we see all these reviews claiming that the BB10 OS is tough to get used to; Once you've ACTUALLY used it, it's the only way to go! Sooo much faster and 5x more productive than the iPhone!

Seriously though, every device with an on-screen keyboard should feature swipe-down to reveal more characters / symbols. How is this not universal? I get so mad when I realize other devices don't have this basic, intuitive feature.

I do it all the time on my girlfriends DROID phone. Swiping up to unlock, same with the keyboard. And I do get frustrated. Side button to unlock on hers. Also on my son's Torch 9850 lol. My other son has a Z10, so no problem. Think it's time to get the Torch replaced with a zed.

Found out that while typing you can delete a whole word by swiping left on your keyboard.

And for those to Hide the on screen keyboard. Hold spacebar for 2 sec. Keyboard will disapear

When using my daughters iPod I try the BlackBerry swipes and get lost. It's tough because it's so natural compared to double home clicks.

I posted elsewhere on these forums how they can be at times educational - and that's exactly what's happening here, right now re: keyboard efficiencies.

I guess I didn't "figure" them out yet because of habits and laziness (=habitual laziness?). Am getting there though, as with all technologies it's just a matter of time.

Sad thing? By the time I've discovered "everything", there'll be a new model with new tricks! But that's a good thing. (I just heard her voice in my head!)
