Trying to decide if I should have a case for my Z30, I got one when I bought it, but it is one of those rubbery skin cases and I don't overly like the feel of it. Wanted to poll crackberry to see what you all use or if don't use one at all.

    Thanks

Don't have one. Never felt the need to get one. With the Z30 I don't feel it's very fragile so I'm not afraid that if I drop it I'm going to do a lot of damage, besides probably cracking the screen. But I'm not one to drop my phone very often (hopefully I didn't jinks myself there) so realistically I don't feel the need for a case.

I find the Z30 to be a big phone as it is so I personally feel that putting a case on it would make it more bulky and less appealing to carry around.

It's up to you though, I'm sure other people commenting here will have other opinions.

I highly recommend the flip shell that snugly fits the BB Z30. I wasn't sure at first - it requires that you remove the back and snap on the form fitting case. But wow - it is the best case ever for my phone. It includes numerous features: notification port, ability to use phone with shell closed, reduces battery use in closed position, aesthetically very pleasing and extremely durable - it does not lose it's form after use. And, of course, it saves the large screen from scratches and wear. In my view there is no better after market case for the BB Z30.

No case. My most recent drop made 2 small chips out of the screen. I got lucky so I guess it's time for a screen protector.

No case, and i have dropped it on the hardwood at home a couple of times with no drama. That being said, if I dropped it on the cement, I think it would be trouble. Might check out the flip shell that Dougy200 raves about as it sounds so good.

    Same here.
I tried bunch of cases, just doesn't feel right with a case.
I also ordered a clear hard plastic shell and also TPU clear shell, but I believe those won't be used. The leather pocket pouch is great, except it smells when new, it is not very flexible, and another issue I just found out it does not hang up the phone when holstered, very annoying.

No case, 5-6 drops...0 damage. I'm pretty lucky at bingo too. I have a commuter but don't care for it at all. I am curious about the Flipshell case though...

I always case my phones. Cause when that one time it does fall and damage is done, the damage is already done!

I buy all my cases for myself and family from the same Ebay sellers. Once I find a goos seller I continue to buy from them.

I recently found a seller that has Z30 cases that fit the Verizon model perfectly. The pics are of my GF's Z30. You'll also notice that this particular case has the cutouts for the noise canceling mic's.

I got that BB flip stand case but it makes the phone too large. And besides, the phone is perfectly comfortable in my hands the way it is. It's easily the nicest feeling phone I've ever held. So I don't want to mess it up by putting a case on it.

Please be cautious. I wanted the flip shell case so bad. But reports of it not fitting really worried me. I had already ordered it.

I still have it if someone is willing to buy. Only U.S. Shipping tho.

I trialed the flip case which was okay. I found the inner lining felt uncomfortable to hold with texting. I moved onto the otterbox defender and used it with a screen protector added. I ripped out the standard one. So far it has been fantastic for my needs

I am wondering why Blackberry hasn't made the soft shell case they released for Q10 for the Z30. I have it on my Q10 and I love it. Super light weight, barely adds any weight and feels great to the touch.

Looking for a minimal case for your Q10? The BlackBerry Soft Shell case may be for you | CrackBerry.com

I want this for my Z30.

A holster is a must for me because of my work/lifestyle and potential damage if in a pocket . I started with a BB swivel holster which I've always used in the past and currently use for my work Q10 but find the Z30 a little slick to hang on to sometimes and tried an OtterBox Defender. I love it and find the Z30 much easier handle and hold on to. That's me.

Transform case and I really like it. I liked the z10 transform case because it was easy to pop off and on, but the z30 transform is very cool and doesn?t add much bulk. You can lay your phone on a desk face-down and not worry about scratching the screen. And the way it snaps open and lets you stand the phone up vertically is very nice. I used the otterbox commuter case for a day. Too bulky for my taste. I'm an office worker, so I don?t generally get into many situations that would call for that much overkill protection. My wife has the lifeproof case on her iPhone. We need something like that for the z30. Great protection without adding bulk and killing the awesome style of the phone. But I am happy with the transform case.
