I have an Otter Box on mine, so it's pretty heavy. But I drop my phone a lot and the extra protection is worth the extra weight. When I tried the Z30 at the store, it didn't seem heavy.

Only time I ever notice the weight is if I'm laying down trying to read. It hurts when it hits you in the schnoz

Yes, and when it falls to the ground, it hits the ground with heavy impact. Crack in my screen, first ever. Dropped my q10 once from double the height, not even a scratch. Bold 9900 dito. Good build quality has its drawbacks...

Not really. It's a little wide for me to hold, but I've only had it for two days so I'm still adjusting.

    It's the Z30, baby.

I like to have a phone I can feel! I find Samsung's and iPhone's to be too light, it like I might accidentally crush then when I pick them up :P the Z30 is evenly balanced as well.

You definitely will get used to the weight of the Z30. Although I remember when I first picked up my wife's new iPhone 5s and thinking, wow that's light!

Nah, I don't find it heavier at all. In fact because of the smoothed rounded edges, sometimes i'm subject to forget its in my hand. This has been the only phone I can comfortably fall asleep with it in my hand or on my chest like a lil puppy.

    After a little weight training, all is good. (;

I notice the weight more when the Z30 is in a dress shirt or napoleon type pocket.

Not at all.. I actually like this weight ! It gave me the premium feelings and the built quality of Z30 ! Other phones are just suck.. especially Samsung phones ! Plasticky feeling.. and it is an unethical move in giving billions of coins to Apple last time.... Not gentlemen at all ! Look at Blackberry and Apple products ! Good and quality... Samsung sucks at all the time ! Laggy touch WiZ UI and Android... No real time response as what BB10 QNX can give.... Blackberry Z30 is the best !!!!!!!!!!!!

I like how it sits in the hand but would like it to be just a bit heavier.

It gets heavier with the flip leather case but it feels strong and very durable.

It belt heavier than my Z10, but I always thought the Z was too light. This feels appropriate for its size

If anything, the weight adds some sense of quality to the phone. You can tell it's made some quality materials and it's not hollow on the inside. All that weight probably comes from the giant battery tucked away in there, and I'd say that's worth it.

I have an iPhone user friend who picked up my phone and immediately commented on how much he liked the weight.

    It must be the case.

Every case adds weight. A real number of grams.

My z10 with case weighs as much as my z30 naked (backless). Together they are each around 150 grams, a bit more but around 150.

I just looked up the weight on BlackBerry.com and I see I was right about this. A z30 with the back removed is the same weight as a z10 with a small case.

Here is a photo of my case. It weighs 50 grams. I'll bet someone has a z30 case that weighs even more than this. Oh no!

The case is the guilty one.

People that find the z30 too heavy need to get off their phone and hit the gym.

All kidding aside, the phone isn't too heavy at all. I don't notice it in the pocket and I love the feel of it in my hands

I think it will feel heavy for a smartphone if you are coming from lighter devices. I came from using the Z10, Q5, and LG G2 and the Z30 felt 'heavy' initially but now I find the weight to be re assuring. Makes the phone feel more solid and sturdy somehow.
