Just looked at a Samsung Galaxy S4 alongside my Z30... couldn't see an appreciable difference in pixel density. Feeling adequate IRL, despite being slightly inadequate on paper.

Yeah, there's no discernible difference unless you hold it very close to your eyes. 1080p on such a small screen is ridiculous from an engineering standpoint. I guess the marketing guys won that battle over at Samsung.
I never understood the need for 1080p or even 720 on a cell phone. You really only need it for watching videos and personally if I'm gonna watch something in hd I'd rather watch it on my 60" led.
I don't feel like it matters that much in such a small screen, Just like the 3D phones they were trying to market a few years ago.....pointless in my opinion.
But to each their own!

Uh oh. Here come the pundits with their "facts". I agree. I have no issues with the screen. But others who don't even own the device will, just wait.

OK, I got my dad a Nexus 5 which has a full 1080p screen. The fonts are definitely crisper and the images look great. The screen on the z30 is nice too, but you can see some pixelation when you look closely enough. Do I care about it? Not really cause z30 does all the stuff I need it to do.
