    Hello All

To I got the notification on my Z30 that my device is almost full. Which is weird since there was no notification last night or in the morning. I deleted a lot of the apps I had and the biggest size app I have is CB10 yet I have about 504 mb of available space. I keep all my music, pics and video on my mini SD card to save space. I don't know what I have over looked at this moment is there any solution to this?

Also my phone reacts slowly which is making me dislike my Z30

In your CB settings (pull down from the top), select 'cache control ', then clear the caches. As for the rest you may want to evaluate the utility and possibly delete Google et al.

Are you sure those apps are really deleted from your device? What OS are you on? If it's the latest then those apps have not been deleted fully.

You SYSTEM seems to be using a lot. Nine shows about 2.98gigs.

How did you update to get your current OS?

How long have you had it?

Have you rebooted recently? At all?

    Try a restart:

Press and HOLD both Vol Up/Down buttons. Keep holding while the screen goes fully black (ignore the screenshot), keep holding through the Black/White logo and when the Colored Logo shows up, release those buttons.

If you have a Z10: If you have the STL100-1 variant the volume button reset method doesn't work. In that case, Press and HOLD the Power On Button until you see the LOGO as above

Updated my OS when it was made available for download

How long have I had this issue? Apparently today since I got the notification

I rebooted a bunch of times thinking that would correct but no dice

I will try what you suggested and reply back

For some reason, a ton of your memory is being locked into SYSTEM. I suspect that the download of the OS might still be taking up space.

I don't know enough about how or where Android apps, if you have them, take up space - whether Apps or possibly System.

I hesitate to suggest using a WIPE or BBLink or an Autoloader to clean it up as you will need to then restore your data, apps, etc. If you wanted to go that route, you should backup all of your unique data to computer.

Is there a way to correct thus without a wipe or any main changes to my phone. I still don't know how this even happened to begin with

I asked around and have not heard anything yet. But looking around the various Settings, I don't see anything to "clean up" or do "housekeeping" to clean it out.

Maybe try checking for Software updates again and see if that shows anything?
So you can wait and see if anyone else drops in with any ideas or take the more drastic course and do a wipe or reload.

I guess one more thing to try although I doubt it. See if you can find some large file somewhere in internal memory using the File Manager or even something like Ghost Commander. You'd have to manually search through all of the various folders and subfolders and see if any file might be rather large or HUGE. But I have a feeling the OTA files used to update would be in some hidden locale.

There is no huge file when I searched through File Manager... how do I use ghost commander?

Did you see any large files or accumulations of files?

I ran it too but in my case I don't have any unusual SYSTEM storage. It also found both Downloads and APK files. And in those two cases, I would have liked more details of those files as I want to keep some downloads and apk files. But one set did take a GIG. But, again, I did not not blanket deletion unless I had more details.

Other cashe is what the above CCleaner references- not system. Did you scroll the screen up to see if it was listed?

Otherwise back up your device and do a fresh install with and autoloader.

When I ran CCleaner this is what I got

Comparing the screen shots in the link provided to me in this post I see any other sections highlighted to free up space.

It's a common problem with BlackBerry 10... over time it seems like the OS takes more and more room. I suspect temporary files not being deleted properly.

I for instance had my Z30 for over a year now and I am down to almost no more memory available... and I keep deleting apps to make room.
