    As suggested by my provider, I did a complete backup of my Z10 device (current BB Link version) data and then restored it to my new Z30. Then I moved my SD card over and restarted phone.

    Apart from having to re-enter passwords as expected, I also found that there were a lot of settings to restore. Most serious, many apps were not transferred and even if I installed them the data had not transferred. Is this "normal"? What is the best way to transfer the app data?

    Sideloaded apps won't restore from BlackBerry Link. Other apps should.
