Hi guys, just recived my first BlackBerry (ever) today, Z30.
The phone looks and feels great, but I have an "issue" with my email account.

Today I have an iCloud email, and I don't really want to use this on my BlackBerry, I would rather have a BlackBerry mail.

I have read somewhere that BlackBerry.com is only for employees.
Is there any other mail connected to BlackBerry I can create, like ****@BBM.com or something?

Think it's just "stupid" in a way to have an Apple e-mail on my BlackBerry, maybe its just me.

    Thanks for your respond.

Well, yeah...you can't just make-up emails you wish to use, if they belong to someone else's domain or company?

That's like me wanting to create a @nasa.gov email, because I have an interest in NASA, or I want to look smart?

You are free to use/create any other email service provider email account, if you wish (how about gmail?), but then of course, you'll have to start using that other email account, and let others know you wish to be contacted at it as well.

There used to be BlackBerry type emails through carriers I believe (like @tmobile.blackberry.com) but with bb10 and bis gone they Are no more.

    White Z30STA100-5/10.2.1.1925 = heaven.

It has nothing to do with looking smart or cool.
It's just easier to keep them apart, when I have the ****@iCloud on my iPhone.
And hopefully something ****@BlackBerry on... Well yeah my BlackBerry.

austriker: Yes, thats what I thought, but if this doesn't exist anymore, that's fine.

...what? And you're really bothered about having an Apple email on a BlackBerry? There's nothing wrong with that. They can coexist.

Wouldn't say that i'm bothered but if there was a possibility that I could create another e-mail, I would do it.

    Anyway, another silly question;
I think the screen is pretty dark? I've change the standard settings to the highest point but it's still not very bright?
Is there any other settings I can change?

    .
I would think being able to utilize your common email contact point on all your devices would be easiest, but okay.

They shut down the @.blackberry.net emails.

No, it's a retired system. The only way I can possibly see it coming back would be BES 10 Cloud and even then, it's kinda pointless.
