Hi all. I've been mulling this over for a while. I love my Z10. But I loathe the battery life. Would the z30 satisfy my need for power?

The Z30 definitely has a much bigger battery than the Z10. Go for it... as they say, you only live once.

Yes. I'd say the Z30 lasts twice as long. I've upgraded. Feels more premium. I only wish the screen was higher res but it's fine. If you like BB10 over Android this is the best phone on the Market. (That's my stance. I tell all my friends I only have the best - the Z30.)

That was one of the main reasons I switched from the Z10 to the Z30. On the Z10, I'd be charging mid afternoon. Now I get through almost every day on the Z30 without charging. It's a big difference.

Not just battery power. But the gpu power is probably twice or three times better.

I've considered Z10 before but never purchased it and the only BB device I've actually used (for 2 months) was the playbook. Right now I really want to buy the Z30 simply because of the exclusive Paratek antenna technology that this device has. I've used in the past Galaxy S2, HTC sensation, HTC G2 and G2X, Galaxy Note 2, Nexus 4, iPhone, iPhone 3GS, 4 and now 5s. Overall I think functionality and simplicity wise my best experience was with apple devices however I've always had issues regarding signal degrading once any of the above mentioned devices were picked up and actually used. Laying on a table etc away from human interference all devices usually showed good signal strength however once picked up specially with 1-2 bars/dots data connection is often spotty along with call quality and dropped calls etc. I'm hoping this Z30 with its Paratek antenna resolves most of these signal issues for me.

I did just that and haven't looked back. personally I prefer the weight. Screen is awesome in my opinion. Battery life incredible. Haven't had to top up the battery during the day since I got it. I live in a patchy 4G area so mine is set to 3G/2G. Never dropped a call or lost signal. Just awesome.

    I had a Z10, and I now rock a Z30.

Well, there is not much to say than "if you can get a Z30, do it !"

Having a battery which holds enough juice for over a proper day of use is making a big difference to me.

You guys are absolutely amazing. All your feedback is awesome. I'm not so much on the fence about it anymore. I've placed my order for the unlocked black model. My opinion on BB10 Stands that all those whom have yet to give BlackBerry a shot with BB10 Missing out on a truly superior os. At this moment there may not be support for certain apps. They may not be able to control light bulbs, talk to smartwaches, or connect with Google glass. But. The thing that keeps me holding it high, is they keep me connected. I never miss a beat with BlackBerry. With a Z30, parateck antenna, and 2800 mlh battery. I'll continue to hold them high.

Imo, the reception I get on my Z30 is in no way better than my Z10s. Also I haven't noticed this "incredible" battery life that all the other Z30 owners are always bragging about. Sure it lasts longer than my old Z10 but that wasn't great to begin with. Granted I've only been using my Z30 for 4 days but still...

The one thing I can't argue with though are the speakers. These things are loud as f*ck.

Sorry!! That's not to say I'm not completely in love with my 30! It never freezes or studers like my 10 did, and the bigger screen is amazing. It's definitely faster and easier to type on and the added weight gives it a way more premium feel. Also I really do believe that the battery life will dramatically improve within the next few days as my z10 was exactly the same (as was every other BlackBerry I have owned lol so no complaints here at all!

I remember I went to conferences with my z10 and with the constant tweeting and emails, that thing wouldn't last half the day, but my z30 lasts the whole day with easily 20 to 30% left....and this is constant usage, like live tweeting talks etc.

Yea the initial setup and syncing causes that huge battery hit.

I had - and still have - a Z10, and after 15 months added a Z30. The latter is superb, and the battery life is incredible. The screen size is great, but the phone is almost too big. Doesn't 'fit' some pockets and generally needs a two-handed approach. I'd like a Z10 handset size, with a Z30 screen size. I.E. No bezel...

Recently got a z30 and this is what I want too. The z10 is the perfect size for me. If blackberry could just combine the best features of the 2 phones it would be amazing.

As others commented there is a huge battery drain and warming of the device on syncing data. Then you'll get up to two days use vs. 1/2 a day in my case on the Z10. The 30 is a great device.

The key difference for me is the GPU. I have plenty of batteries and I would rather have the ability to instant swap batteries.

The gpu performance is noticeably better

I got the Z30 based on screen real estate and better battery. I really enjoyed my Z10 and Q10, but the Z30 is just an amazing device. So good choice.

As to the antenna I didn't really give it much thought, but the other day I was out with a couple friends hiking through the woods and my friends iPhone got zero reception, my other friends Q10 got 1 bar but my Z30 still had full service available. So I guess it really does work

I also share this sentiment. I love my Z10's site. I find it to fit in my pocket well and not cause any stretching or discomfort while I'm working (construction) . Though when out and about I'll pop into a best buy Mobile or TBOOTH. I compare the size. And the Z30 is larger yes. But not significantly to the point that would make it uncomfortable in the pocket. I already have my Z10 And battery bundle in,my pocket half the time anyway so I'm sure it won't be a big deal.
