I had this problem since day one on all three of my BB10 devices. Recently I havent noticed it because I pretty much never turn on Wifi anymore.
I complained on this board as well as official forums and n4bb as well, it seems there are random users who have this issue. Wifi stays connected but data is not being transmitted.
The temporary fix was to turn off dual band function of the router, later I turned it back on.I am not sure if that was the solution or not, but it seems BB10 does not play nice with dual band routers. I never had a problem in the office, old Cisco single band router.

I have been pointing out an issue with 5Ghz WiFi since probably June of last year (and OS 10.0.10 or 10.1.0), where if you go out of range on a connected 5Ghz WiFi signal, the device would often fail to reconnect. Rebooting the device always fixes it initially, until going out of range etc causes it to occur again.

10.2.1.2141 seemed to improve this somewhat actually, though not fix it.

I don't know if it is related. But clearly when you refer to "dual-band routers", this is the distinction. The common wireless devices operate on 2.4Ghz only, the "dual band" devices operate on both 2.4Ghz and 5Ghz. And there are very few single-band 5Ghz WiFi devices nowadays.

Yes turning off the data for mobile network works... that is kinda th point of the thread... shouldn't have to turn it off... wifi should be taking priority regardless

No difference with the band of the router here... I only have a single band at the house (2.4) and this is where I noticed the issue

Really makes me question even more if I shouldn't just move on the more I see things like this. Seems they always break something else when trying to fix something. Hope it doesn't take moths for you all to get an update that fixes this and doesn't break something else.

I'm having the same problem, running 10.2.1.2141 on my Z30 on Verizon. With the mobile radio off, I can connect to wireless. Once I turn it back on, I get the "wi-fi connection limited" notification in the hub.

This just started happening out of the blue. I was able to connected to wifi and radio simultaneously up to yesterday evening, when the problem started happening out of no-where. No idea what could be causing it.

Interesting observation: when connected to both verizon and with wifi up, I can ping the router and I can ping outside the local network, although that might be going through verizon instead :/

Same problem here on VZ network. Obviously this is spreading. Hope BB can find a fix soon enough. Nothing seems to work except turning off mobile network completely!!

I have this issue since the 10.2.1 leaks with two different routers. With my two home routers it works fine. Weird to see this popping up for so many out of the blue.
I hope that they'll give us the option to stay connected to a WiFi network even when it thinks that there is no connection.

All of a sudden, my office wifi finally trumped my wireless data....so mine is now working, and it wasn't a half hour ago. I didn't do anything, it just started working normal again, at least at my office. Maybe fixed? Anyone else?

I hope they couldn't fix or break it without a known update. If the phones are that tied to BBRY that intermittent issues can happen due to something happening in Canada other than things that run thru the NOC there is really something wrong.

as an update there was a blackberry rep at the mall when I went there he was utterly dumbfounded he had never seen this before he made a hot spot from his Q10 and my z10 would not connect unless carrier data was turned off when I turned carrier data back on the wifi vanished even though in settings it tells me I'm still connected.

He said he would pass it up to his superiors
