I finally went out and bought a Z30 (yay!) yesterday but as it was nearly out of battery, I decided to charge it fully before I started playing with it.
I connected it to the charger (the one in the box) around 15hrs ago but the LED is still flashing! The phone is switched off, so nothing's running.
A co-worker has a Z10 and he says that the light should stay on when the charging's finished and his Z takes a few hours max to get from a low charge to fully charged state.
    Is this normal behavior?

I would just turn it on. That way you can see what the battery is at. It should be able to fully charge in 3-4 hours (and charge up to 80%s in less than an hour).

Turn it on dude. And are you using the small charger or the PlayBook / premium charger.

Yeah, turning it on should sort it out.

Though, I advise getting the BlackBerry Premium charger. My Z30 charges from 20% to full in about 90min with it. 1.8A vs the 0.85A charger that comes with the device.

After 15 hours.... it is charged.
I too use the PlayBook charger... way faster.

Thanks guys, turned it on and it was at 97%. I left it on and it eventually, after another hour or so, got to 100%
    Finally...
One thing though, I switched it off and plugged the charger back in and the bloody light was still flashing. Grrrrrrr..
    Phone's awesome though

I turned my phone off then plugged it in and it displayed a lightning bolt and said Charging. Then the screen went black and the LED flashes orange.

Seems to be normal. I don't usually turn the phone off, so I never noticed before. Not sure what it will do (the LED) when charging is completed.

    Not to worry IMO.

    Enjoy your Z30 ... I know I am.

That light flashing is normal. It will do the same when you kill the battery and plug it in, until it has enough juice to turn the device back on. It must be to let you know that it's charging. My PlayBook does the same thing. There is no reason to turn the phone off when you charge it though, I really don't think it noticeably faster to charge it that way.

Get the Premium/Playbook charger. It's 1.8A like the premium car charger. It'll fire that sucker up in 2 hrs tops. Cruise ebay for the best deal.

The charger that came with my Verizon Z30 charges pretty quickly. Comparable to the PlayBook charger I would say. The plug in part is bigger compared to the little cube one I got with my Z10. The cord is also thicker and shorter. A trade-off I'll gladly take... ;-)
