Hello,

I have downloaded an .mpg from DropBox. I am unable to play it from the link in DropBox but can download it to my phone. In File Manager I can see a preview image of the video but when I click to play I get the following message:

"Error: The file contains an unsupported media format."

I am running the Z30 with the 1055 leak and I am not sure if it is with the leak, my phone or .mpg's aren't supported.


I appreciate any feedback.

I ran into this yesterday on my Z10 (STL100-3). I had run Sketchguru and used the Gallery function to choose a pic to modify. A number of my folders containing pics were not accessible. It seemed to have a tough time with subfolders. After this is when I ran into the unsupported media format error when trying ot play a video I had previously recorded. The folder or video chosen didn't seem to make a difference. A standard reboot cleared up the problem.

WIth Sketchguru being an apk app download it appears to have been using Android's grid to find pics and didn't shake from this when leaving the app. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the input. I tired re-booting but having the same issues.

I looked into the file properties and it is an MPEG file but I am not sure what type of MPEG as there seems to be various versions and I am not that technically inclined.

It plays directly from DropBox (without downloading) in my web browser on my laptop so i think the file itself is fine.

I will see if i can convert the file to get it to work.
