If they are able to install and run the Iridium Go app from snap?

I would like to know before I go thru the time of running a leak. I've never done that and am afraid to try if the program doesn't even run.

Hate to be forced to buy an iPod touch just to be kept in a pelican case for emergency.

    Thanks.

Is it a paid app by any chance? That's the only time where I wasn't able to download an app

No, it's a free app like the accompanying iridium mail which I can download and run.

Really too bad since the Iridium Go app is required to make voice calls and send text messages.

Iridium mail allows email and Web surfing.

I recently purchased the Iridium Go and now looks like I need to buy an iPod touch at a minimum to have both apps available for use.

Too bad as I hoped with our BlackBerry being able to run android apps I could do it all on the z30

Might be an issue that can be fixed with patching though. Might try that route before flushing money down the toilet

Check out these threads. Can't guarantee that it'll solve your issue, but if anything can, its gonna be one of these 2 options

    Thanks for trying.

Darn, not sure what is up with this app.

I've sent a message to Iridium.

Maybe it's time to give up and purchase an iPod just for this.

Still can't believe it won't load.

I would imagine as it attempts to replace the dialer that BlackBerry said "not gonna happen."

Hmmmm perhaps but it is an app that calls thru a wifi connection to the iridium go device connected to a satellite.

Don't know why BlackBerry would lock that out.

It's too bad because I can run the Iridium mail app that allows for email and web use. BlackBerry allows that app to load.

Something I just noticed is that the application states it needs the iridium go device to work. It probably needs to be paired with before the application will install.

Hmmmm I never thought of this before and will give it a try when I get back home and have the device in front of me.

I don't see why this should be the case. Let me try connecting the phone to the device first before I hit the install button.

Maybe this is all I need to do.

    Thanks

I was about to suggest just that (connecting the device before installing). Good luck, silverbullet.

    Thanks guys!

    I will report back.

Besides not being able to use my BlackBerry with the device, it seems like a good little gadget.
