I am using the calendar app that came with the phone. I am on 10.3.2.2836. I am using the local calendar (I had syncing problems with yahoo in the past so I changed it to local).

Is there an easy way to have the calendar either sync with something else or backup to the cloud? Right now it only gets backed up when I backup the phone using link. I would like to have it backup more frequently without having to use link.

I sync with yahoo mail. If I set up a gmail account (even though I don't use it much) would I be able to sync with gmail so as to have a backup of my calendar?

My calendar (and contacts) sync with Gmail.

But there are also a few 3rd party apps that can backup various aspects of your phone including Backup Pro and Ultimate Backup.

Thanks for the reply. I set my calendar to sync with gmail and it is working. Problem solved!

Get an outlook email account and install outlook email on all your devices and computers and make the outlook contacts and calendar your default. I have them synced on my android work phone my z30 personal and my desktop. Any change made to one automatically update on all of them. Works awesome.

I have mine setup to sync with my Outlook 2007 on my computer, and it works flawlessly...
