Just received my FedEx confirmation. Sweet
Yup. Shipped!!!!
To those of you with ETAs, what method of shipping did you select?
I selected regular shipping. It's coming via FedEx, but the Estimated Delivery is N/A.
Interesting that some are saying they have ETAs of Wednesday and others on Friday. What shipping method did you guys choose? I have "N/A" listed for my ETA for FedEx Domestic Ground.
I paid extra for two day shipping. I got a Fedex estimated delivery by Wednesday.

Mine is shipped and should be here on Wednesday. I also paid extra for the 2 day shipping.
Posting on the great Z30
I did the free shipping. No ETA yet, probably because it's still sitting and waiting to actually move somewhere. It's about freaking time though.

I (re)bought mine last night with 2 day shipping. Unlike the first time I did not receive a back order email so I am hoping I am in the same boat as you guys and that it will get here this week.
I did reiterate to my contact at BlackBerry that their relationship with Digital River should be reviewed and reconsidered at the next possible chance. It was only because my contact was so nice and helpful that I decides to go through this whole painful process again.

You, sir, are a glutton for punishment.
J/k. Hope everything goes smoothly this time. Let us know how this model works out for you. I may pick one up for S's and G's.

Welcome back to the dark side. I saw your other thread and I'm sacrificing LTE on AT&T for this phone too. I hope it works out for you.

Yes I am... and thank you :-)
Ultimately I decided to purchase one for the following reason. My old BlackBerry sale rep sent me 2 different STA100-5's from different sources in his hopes that one would be the STA100-1. Because they weren't the -1 that I was holding out for, I promptly sold them to CrackBerry members. Had I known there would never be a -1, I would have kept 1 of them. While purchasing online is costing me more than I sold either phone for, the fact that I sold 2 makes up the difference. Had I not had BlackBerry money to make the purchase I would have probably sat here seething in jealousy... that and my BlackBerry contact was incredibly nice and helpful. :-)

I did the escreen test on my Z10 last night according to raino's instructions, and looking at the third line from the bottom of the LTE section, turns out that in my town AT&T runs their LTE on Band 4.
That is the 1700/2100 MHZ band.
So in theory the -5 should work here.

Just got my confirmation, FINALLY! Wednesday it is.

Mine shipped last night, but still no delivery date today. God I love FedEx.
I am kind of in the same boat in terms of playing with house money, which makes me think I should pull the trigger just to give the device a try. The only reason I haven't at this point is the lack of proper LTE bands for my area (checked using the link/info in Raino's signature, and my area is using the more common band). I do have access to Wi-Fi at work and home, but the LTE speeds are faster than the broadband connections in many cases. If the towers in my area were never upgraded, this would be a no-brainer. Hard to turn back now though...
Score!
When I did the same, the band actually showed as 19 in that box in escreens (should be a Japanese band according to everything I read; couldn't find any carrier in the US using it). I used the EARFCN calculator, and it confirmed that the coverage in this area is band 17. Too bad they don't have supplemental band 4 coverage! LOL
They sell the -5 because it is the most compatible across most carriers. AT&T are ******* lazy to not accept -1....

All devices were shipped yesterday so depending on the sipping method you selected it should be there by the weekend.
Enjoy your Z30 folks, and by the way, we need a thread listing the cities were the STA100-5 gets LTE and where it doesn't.
Actually, the -1 would have also included bands 4 and 5 for LTE coverage (according to the sticky at the top of this forum), so it might have been a better choice for the US market. Though, it wouldn't have included band 7, which I'm guessing is commonly used in Canada.
I do agree that AT&T should have pulled their heads out of their rears in regards to offering the -1, especially when they claim to have BlackBerry's back...
Why can't they include all north American bands in 1 phone? I'm sure that new antenna is capable!

Nexus 4 works on LTE in some US cities - GSMArena Blog
With user participation, it's possible to grow this list even more (and maybe include band 5, which they have re-farmed at least in/around Bloomington, IL,) but would require quite some dedication :)
Good point. I've seen Apple include upwards of 15 bands, so it's possible engineering-wise. Money-wise? IDK.
If you're talking about Paratek, I think it's got more to do with boosting reception than with managing how many bands a phone can pack.
