    The CB blog article says "The BlackBerry Z30 smartphone from ShopBlackBerry.com is compatible with GSM-based 4G LTE and 4G networks in the U.S. (AT&T, T-Mobile) and other countries around the world with carriers who operate supported GSM networks."

    I bit. I'll know soon enough if it's compatible with at&t's LTE.

    Did they ask you where you live and go through the bands AT&T is using in your area, if so people get LTE on STA100-5 as well.
    Instead of guaranteeing something, could he/she send you the model # in writing or with your order, so when you end up receiving something else you can easily send it back.
    Although, I do see there is 30 days money back guarantee, does that include free return shipping? If so, time for me to burn another $500..

    I went to the wrong site. I needed to go to Shop BlackBerry, not blackberry.com. Maybe the BlackBerry website will be updated soon, as you can purchase the Z10 from Shop BlackBerry through the BlackBerry website.

    They did not even ask that. They transferred me so many times it was ridiculous! They had no idea what I meant by different model #'s

    Interested to see where this goes. You would think that the STA100-5's that they are selling in Canada would utilize the same LTE bands as the ones being sold directly to the US. Unless certain bands really are available on those devices, and they were blocked by firmware/software somehow...

    Glad to see that blackberry is now offering this device direct. They would sell a lot of these if they drop the price to 200-250 (IMO).

    Literally just got that same email. On backorder.

    This is what happened with my Q10 and two Q10 accessory bundles using the code to get the accessory bundles for free in November.

    It went on for months without hearing anything other than the initial email that it was on back order. I eventually got an automatic refund, and then two months later in January, I got TWO white Q10s, and FOUR accessory bundles, and was never charged.

    I hope it's not like that. I mean, I'd love a free Z30, but I want it now, I don't want to have to wait two months.

    It's a good sign though if it really is on backorder..

    I know same thing happened when they had $200 deal on Z10's back in November. It sucked for most people who were counting on getting their unlocked Z10s. They were bunch of excuses like "sorry we are unable to charge" or "address mismatch" and eventually "backorder".. Sad.. Some of those back orders were cancelled when the price went back up, and suddenly they have Z10's available again.
