- No, BlackBerry please don't waste any time or resources on options for the new call screen. It's fine as it is and much better and intuitive than the old call screen. Would rather BlackBerry put their energies into making this OS better with new features.

A yellow slide up button in between the green and red that would automatically answer your BlackBerry in speaker phone mode. That would be awesome for when the BlackBerry is on a desk or in the car.02-08-14 03:32 PMLike 0
- I liked the uniqueness of the old slide up way but it needed to be more clear. I have hung up on people more than enough times because I would have preferred swipe up be answer, just seemed more natural to me since that's how you wake the phone.. but it wasn't as clear as this way. The one thing I love most about the new way is the screen will change color as I'm swiping that direction so I can correct myself. But thankfully I have not accidentally hung up on anybody the new way yet, which makes a big difference when I sleep answer my phone.

Giving us the option would make the os better and BlackBerry wouldn't have to waste any energy since it's already here.

BlackBerry 10 should be about flexibility and choice!

Yes, I understand they are in the business to attract more customers and upgrade bbos customers to bb10 but perhaps they should have considered industry standard for their entire OS prior to releasing bb10.0. I liked the old screen because to me it "flowed" better with the UI (close something you didn't want) - swipe up to minimise an app, swipe up to dismiss sleep mode, swipe up to reject a call etc. Their pitch to consumers for bb10 was peak and flow. To me it doesn't flow anymore.
Not sure if BlackBerry realises it yet but from what I've seen from their new bbm update voice notes involves you to swipe left to reject your voice note. So now you have an aesthetic issue again with the rest of your OS. To answer the phone you swipe left but to reject a voice note you also swipe left? Hopefully it's something they update otherwise I look forward to another tweet from BlackBerry or Clewley explaining it. I'm sure it will be something involving a study group or test market research. Smh.02-09-14 11:09 AMLike 0 - People are already having issues with the OS. Do you think having 2 call screens to choose from will help. Just asking for more problems. No other OS gives an "option" to change the call screen. Give me a break. They know better not to mess with that.

You just leave BlackBerry and stick with a iPhone device and/or a real Android device instead and your issues are solved.

It's highly and very unlikely that BlackBerry will put in an option for the new and old call screen. I'd rather them use their resources to implement new features and fix the bugs on the OS right now.
And I'd be careful telling people to leave BlackBerry and go somewhere else. It seems to me that this new call screen is causing you untold grief, which is frankly hilarious lol. Seriously it's only a call screen, embrace the change and be happy.
Posted via CB1002-09-14 12:36 PMLike 0 - What is this damned mess you keep talking about??. YOU are in the minority asking for a call screen option, the majority of people are happy with the new call screen. Read what Clewley said about the new call screen and why they changed it.

What's the point of releasing bugfixes and new features? BB10 will never be bugfree. Meaning: Pointless.
BB10 has now everthing of android runtimes and apps except newest features and options.
The DAMNED mess is there are still a lot of complaits of end users who wants the old phone screen back. A better (far best) solution I requested is still an option. Team BlackBerry including Michael Clewley changed it for no reason that they decided to change BB10 to Android copy thingy Look a like and the phone call screen is one of them. Meaning they screwed up big time..
BlackBerry has to reconsider about this and start searching for an better alternative solution like an option for an example. I know they can do it but there now lazy to develop it. I had plead it in the minority since the beginning before the were releasing the update of OS 10.2.1.537 - 10.2.1.1925 - Radio OS 10.2.1.1899.
Since we're now on the subject about " Leaving BlackBerry " , isn't it obvious... you did buy a BB10 device and afterwards you complain about the old incoming phone call screen? How low can you go as a BlackBerry fan and it doesn't make sense and what I think is that's a stupid complait of user who wants the new incoming phone call screen. Now it looks horrible, ugly and is the exact the copy of an android OS and still you like it? You definitely want that BB10 slowly turns in process to Android? Sorry that's a big shame and damage to BlackBerry 10. I love both old and new phone call screens.
To you I tell you to leave BlackBerry and stick with an iPhone or Android and your issues are solved.
Posted via CB1002-09-14 01:24 PMLike 0 - IT'S NOT JUST ABOUT CALL SCREEN IT'S ABOUT BB 10 GESTURE BASED EXPERIENCE
WHICH BB IS DESTROYING BY REMOVING CALL SCREEN AND REMEMBER THIS FEATURE BB INTRODUCED IN 10.1 MR Swipe to the right and then down (like a backwards L) to move back to the previous message and for next message a swipe up in hub BB even removed this in os 10.2.1
i don't understand why BB is destroying these gestures and that unique experience of BB 10
Posted via CB1002-09-14 02:09 PMLike 0 - Hate it!
I'm so used to the old sliding down to answer a call I find myself instinctively doing it!!
It's not very intuitive either so I have to stare at the screen to think of which way is to answer a call and which way is to ignore a call. I've already accidentally ignored 1 call since yesterday ....

BBOS had more complicated and ridiculous option then a calling screen and nobody was complaining about the phone being too complicated.

This picture here above is just a concept (An example) for the most suitable solution of incoming phone call screen choices. It`s plain and simple. Choose what kind of gesture you really like to use, It`s definitely not inconsistency and complexity. For Team BlackBerry to develop this is not so difficult. Not at all.Last edited by Ginowine; 02-10-14 at 03:13 AM.

- Personally I prefer the old call screen, I'd like the option to keep it if it's possible. It shouldn't be too hard to put the old alongside the new.02-10-14 12:29 AMLike 0
- I too miss the old call menu much, hate this left or right!!!
Never faced as issue with swipe up or down, nor faced it difficult to do as well.
Moreover who requires this reject the call with some pre texts when the world is shifting to BBM, whatsapp etc..!
