What do you consider slow? It boots up in about a minute or so for me on a Q10.

BB has (had - it's been a while since I got the information) a goal of getting under 30 secs.

The initial BB10 was over 1:30 and now we are around 1 minute (1:03 on a Z30 running 10.2.0.1-something). I think the next 30 secs are going to become way harder to find. Faster hardware will help, but BB10 is a huge OS to load.

I don't know if the Android runtime has been postponed to load in the background or on first launch of an Android app - if not this is of course one place to improve.

The Android runtime definitely runs in the background after the OS is done (just like the hub).

Boot time? What is that? Last time I booted my Z10 was a few months back. Who cares about boot time?

Depends what you consider "boot" time. When the phone displays the lock screen, or once the Hub loads and your files have all been indexed :/

If I have one complaint about BB10, just ONE (I f***ing love it otherwise) it's that "indexing files" when rebooting/losing battery power. Feels like an eternity to index a 32GB Sd card. Would be nice if it saved the index once it was complete... so it would refer back to it if you lost power/rebooted again.

Personal preference, but I shut my Q10 down almost every night.

I noticed that the autoloaders are getting smaller, with 10.2.0.1521/1443 being the largest of the lot. 1521/1443 for STL100-2/3 is 2,066,425,508 bytes unpacked, while 1761 for STL100-2/3 is 1,882,859,172 bytes unpacked.

I think they should make they're active frames truly active such as when you minimize a video it continues playing or gives you the option too!

Yup, you can easily tell this if you open up an android app immediately right after you restart. You will get a blue loading bar at the bottom.
I think even the browser is on a delayed start up because when you first open it up after restarting some of the menus take a little bit longer to render.

If you start playing a game immediately after starting up the phone, you will notice a lag. Usually takes about 5 minutes for the phone to fully settle.

LOL, I mean over a minute! (beer)
I really don't care. I don't reboot any more than 1 to 2 times bi weekly. Not because of holy SH*t moments, Just because I want to or an odd little glitch.
