Z sales in the US aren't exactly setting the world on fire, judging by the 50-75% off pricing.

I'd be more worried if BlackBerry wasn't releasing new hardware this year, and already working on next year's as well. The A was never meant to replace the Z, it was to be another model in the line. I would hope they are already working on next generation hardware for next year.

You can't buy a Mustang on a 2-3 year contract for one-third of MSRP. If you could then yes sales of the previous generation Ford would only sell to budget oriented consumer. I would guess that sales of the iPhone 5 dwarfs the current monthly sales of the 4s.

Wow... another slap in the face to the early adopters. The Z10 would only be 9 months old by that point! Even Samsung and apple release on a yearly schedule. No need to have a faster phone right now anyway. There aren't any apps that even utilize the full power of the Z10.

Aristo will be the flagship media phone. 5" oled, great sound. But the z10 is still going to be around for a long time. It is the perfect size. I'm sure we will see a z11 next year with upgraded specs.

I'm not so sure it's going to be a successor to the Z10, as much as another BB10 product.

Samsung has the Galaxy S series, and the Galaxy Note series, and they sell side by side.

Blackberry has the Z series, and the upcoming A series, and they will sell side by side.

The phablet is not for everyone, including myself.

Current z10 owners are getting screwed if that's true. Makes you wonder if 10.2 will see the light of day in the US (well at least for the z10). Something told me that the z10 would be the playbook all over again (from a company support pov).

Yeah there was a thread a few days ago about a guy that played tennis with a Blackberry employee and got to see and briefly use one. He kept calling it Astro... so it's probably become kind of an inside joke around here.
