I have been looking at different holster options for the z30. So far the blackberry made holster and also the otterbox case/clip seem to be the most popular choices. Has anyone found anything else comparable?

I haven't. Not that I like anyway. I have both that you mentioned and like both for different needs.
I use a MAXpedition holster for my Z10 and previously my Android. It can take many phone sizes as the strap is adjustable.
