I am a heavy user of phones. While I don't watch videos or instagram like "hip" teens I do however spend hours surfing Crackberry, playing some games, and texting. With my ol Zed 10 I could eat through the battery in 3 hours. This one. This batter has been going for 19 hours now. 19, I repeat 19. This is amazing.

I applaud you BlackBerry, you've gone back to the amazing days of the ol Curves.

Absolutely, this phone is leagues and bounds and saiyan's better than the Z10. Sounds amazing, looks amazing, feels amazing, screen is amazing, it's like the DreamBerry we've been asking for. (except it isnt a slider......) But still, AMAZING.

My battery life is also awesome. It gets me through a full day of heavy web surfing and emailing and I still have battery left in the evening. My battery life actually improved after the first couple of days of use. I think it has something to do with synching email and address book and downloading apps from BlackBerry App store for apps I already own.

I am wondering on what basis reviewers compare battery life between phones?

I can confirm through my brother that the Z30 battery is WAY better then the Z10. After letting the battery settle by loading all his apps he charged it up fully. He said he is on his second day without having to plug it in. That's with him trying to drain it. I'm sold.

I'm a very heavy user pulled it off the charger this morning at 7am it's now 10:25 and the battery is saying I still have 19% remaining this is amazing. I have been using it very heavy today. 15 1/2 hours very impressive. Never ever had a longer lasting smartphone.

Likewise - the Z30 is amazing.

Can I just say though - PLEASE give the device at least 48 hours to settle after setting up all your accounts etc. During this time battery drain will be higher than average due to indexing of the file system etc. After 48 hours, enjoy the amazing battery life It took my Z30 around 2-3 days to settle and become amazingly awesome.
