I have a Z30, and every micro USB cable I've plugged into it works fine and the intersection where the USB connector plugs into the device feels tight and secure.

My BlackBerry Premium in-vehicle car charger works fine with a BlackBerry Z10 and 9900, and the USB connector isn't loose.

However, when I connect this same car charger to my Z30, the USB connection is noticeably loose and the Z30 doesn't charge. If I push and hold the USB connector inwards and up, the Z30 starts charging. Once I let go, the power is gone.

Has anyone experienced this, and does it sound like my Z30 or the car charger is defective?

If all other cables fit the Z30 fine, then I suspect the charger although if it fits other units, that is odd.

I wonder if you gently tried applying pressure to the cable (NOT the phone) so as to slightly spread or widen the narrow profile of the plug to make it a bit thicker so it grabs better?????

Thanks, I suspect the car charger also. It would be the easier of the two to fix anyway

I am having the same problem. It is not the Z30, it is the charger. It is also loose on other USB phones.
