Hey guys. Had my phone for 5 days and love it. I especially love blackberry link, as it's the easiest system I've ever used to transfer files from pc to phone. It was working perfectly for days, but suddenly, blackberry link keeps saying "device software 10.1 or higher required for remote file access". Obviously, I have 10.1 or higher as it was working fine. I've uninstalled BlackBerry Link on my pc and then reinstalled. I've tried everything I can think of but it still won't recognise my device, yet it recognised my partner's Z30 when I tested it earlier. Does this mean my phones faulty? Can anyone help before I rip my hair out, please?

Hmm try changing your bbid email to something new

I just plugged py phone into my pc via usb and it's finally recognised my phone again. But when I unplug it, it says "device software 10.1 or higher required for remote file access" again.

Also checked for updates via BlackBerry link but it says my system is up to date.

How do I change bb id email? Sorry, kinda new to this. (Thanks a lot for replying)

Did you remove the check mark by your phone. If so plug in usb cord put check mark beside phone. If it doesn't fix then unpair them.
