Exactly. Plus warranty is such a hassle, when it comes to reselling the phones. Because the limit is only 5, I'm only going to buy for myself.

Can't wait for BlackBerry Ontario and windermere to come out, specifically on epp. My contact still has 4 left for the year, so I hope to be able to use that :P

Sorry guys, my friend got back to me today and told me he could only get a few of them with the employee program. I actually got the last two he could buy. As mentioned earlier by someone here in the thread. He was only allowed to buy a certain amount of handsets.

If you have the original order number and employee name you can initiate warranty claim direct with the processor of employee purchases--- brand alliance

Do they need both the name and order number for a claim, or is their another way (IMEI) to get a warranty claim through?

I'm talking with a guy who got it through EPP, but the employee isn't willing to give up this info.

Brand alliance asked for all of that info when I inquired. I'm guessing if you have the invoice or invoice number, and your friends info is on it you might be ok

Looking like I might be needing to take a swing at this warranty business, unfortunately.

My gf's white Z30 decided (on its own, possibly due to cold weather fluctuations) to have the screen crack right across the top. It's extremely visible and you can feel it on the surface while running over it with a fingernail.

I don't know if they'll honor the warranty because they'll claim it was dropped, but the crack appeared over a period where there were definitely no drops.
