That's kind of the point... the "Z5" for all intents and purposes was essentially made up. It was born out of want for the device to exist.

I don't know that I would want the device to exist but rather than know it is plausible. Knowing the Q5 exists kinda leaves the door open. Do I expect it to happen? No.

I don't know that I would want the device to exist but rather than know it is plausible. Knowing the Q5 exists kinda leaves the door open. Do I expect it to happen? No.

It is inevitable that we will see a lower tier all-touch eventually, probably fairly early in 2014, but it won't be this year because there isn't the same room to reduce prices going from a z10 that there is with a q10 as the majority of savings will have come from the cheaper display and cheaper casing which are not areas where they can save.

I have never liked those concepts very much because they never seem to take into account real-world usability or technical feasibility, a sexy design where things like device thickness for battery, centre of gravity for device stability etc. are considered is far more impressive than a few pretty pictures.

My brain (not the greatest source of information at the best of times!) seems to recall a Blackberry executive saying there would be a touch and keyboard device at all three levels (entry, mid-tier, and top tier.) If we assume the Z10 and Q10 are actually the mid-tier devices, it seems to make sense there will be a Z5. Or have I jumped into the thread long after the bit which makes sense of what you were saying?

I don't believe that there has been a legitimate leak on what the low tier device will be. All left to assumption.

I am sorry but those don't look very good, especially the white because it looks like a freaking Samsung Galaxy phone only with a BlackBerry name in it, which is quite frankly, an insult to BlackBerry!! I honestly don't know why those Galaxy phones are so popular. They look so fugly. The round corners are just so ugly. Sharper corners for the A10 would be a start.

I think BlackBerry did a great job with the industrial look of the Z10. The HTC One looks similar too but in two tone.

Dylan didn't pay attention to all of the details in Craigggers account of seeing the phone. For one thing, he reported that the bottom of the phone was much like the Z10's, and was silver in color.

Hopefully, Dylan's update will incorporate these details.
