You just need data, no more BIS. But in some jurisdictions, like ours (Manila), there is an advantage getting nonetheless the BIS plan over regular data.

Yes, BIS is no longer needed for BB10. Just regular old data.

Biggest advantage is you can use data off the bat without registering on a BlackBerry plan. For me BIS had it pros/ cons but am happy that BB10 isn't tied to it anymore.
