Reload your OS using BlackBerry link.
What happens when you go search for a software update on the phone?

That's how everything started I reloaded the os using link and I had gone thru the full setup and BBM wasn't working so I did a restore and nothing. And BBM is up to date so there's no update for it

I'm having the same problem. I've only had my Passport SE for a bit over a month, and it has worked fine until a few days ago. I powered the device down and removed the sim card to test an iphone for a few days. I used BBM on the iphone with zero problems. After two days, I returned home and swapped the SIM card back into the Passport, powered on, and went to the BBM app to switch my ID over to the passport again, and at first it gave me the "server error..." I restarted the device, and this time it went to the BBM associating with Blackberry ID screen, and it just stays there. I have swapped the sim card before with no problems in both the Passport and my old Q10, with no problems.

So far I have loaded autoloaders via Sachesi, factory restored via Sachesi, reloaded the factory software via BB Link, and done a compelete device wipe several times. No luck on any of it. Each time I returned to the BBM app, it goes to the BBM associating... screen and remains there.

I don't know what is up with it, but it's irritating me a lot, especially as it is a core app, and one of the services I used a lot and it is one of Blackberry's most popular apps, how can it have this kind of problem on their newest device?

I guess that you might want to contact your carriers and ask them to help or forward your inquiry to BB. I wonder if there's some glitch in the new protection regime that has "blacklisted" the device.

Have you tried using wifi (if it will work on wifi??) turning off carrier or try the other way, turn off wifi and try only on cell.

    Good luck.

My suggestion above still holds if your carrier supports the device. Contact them, they can "patch" you through to BB support. You canNOT generally get to BB by yourself.

BB also has its own support forum.
