i got my new z30 today, started it up and downloaded the new os as prompted the phone then restated and when it started again it shows www.bberror/bb1--0015 the phone will not turn off and i cant use bb link as it suggests on various sites

Is there nothing else i can do or do i just have to return it?

Use it to download your carrier OS (use this to figure out the numbers: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mobile_country_code) then plug the device - turned on - to Sachesi. Drag&drop the files you downloaded and let it work itself out.

I actually experienced the exact same issue while trying to security wipe a Z30. The solution was to use BlackBerry Link to reload the software. Fixed!
