The Z30 I had lasted about 20 hours. I hear the Passport lasts somewhat longer.

I have both and use both together on a daily basis. The average battery life for my Passport is 1 day 7 hours. The Z30 is 23 hours.

I have both. The Passport definitely has longer battery life, but both of them perform really well in this department.

first it depends on the O.S you are running on it, i have borrowed a passport on 10.3.1 and it didn't last as long as my z30 on 10.3.2; however once both were running similar O.S; the passport did better.

Both are superb and will power most users through a whole day. My children and my gf's with iPhones are wall-huggers.

I switched my network mode to 4G/3G/2G from LTE and noticed a huge difference in battery life. After my switch, my battery life goes last "1 day and 20 hours" when battery savings mode is on.

I have had a Z30 for about a year. I love it. It's the best touch screen device I have ever owned, and I have an iPhone and a Droid.

But, I have decided to finally replace the 9900 on my business line with a Passport. It's the best "device" on BB10 to date with overall build and performance. It's QUAD CORE, and it bothers me that the Z30 is only a DUAL CORE. the 30 is fast enough, but the Passport smokes when you compare processing speed and screen scrolls, loading, app opening, etc.

So I'll have both soon. Can't wait. I suspect the Passport will be my favorite. Heck, I loved my Q5. So the Passport will be like a meld of the Q series with the Z series. And for my needs, working "Wide" with that square screen will actually be great for documents that I view.
Overall, I really did my homework, and I felt that the Passport is THE phone for me, especially on the business line.

I suppose if I just wanted a phone for fun and personal use, I'd go with the Z30 hands down. But for communication and business use, I believe the Passport is the ticket for me.

Funny, though. I had my OG Passport (and a Q10) for more than a year, supporting my business greatly. Yet, once I found out I could work MUCH faster on my wife's Z10, I sold both the Passport and Q10 and now using the Z30 as the daily driver, plus a cheap Droid for apps I otherwise cannot get from BlackBerry.

My Z30 with Data off and only on 4G/3G/2G and WiFi on, no Bluetooth no NFC (light use only. on fasttube, BBM and surfing the internet)......I get over 40hours out of my phone. Bought the z30 last year in May. BlackBerry for LIFE!!!!!

I've had both. To me they're the best all touch device and pkb device. Yet the Passport does last a bit longer under general use in my experience. Z30 doesn't fall back much though, perhaps only 2 to 4 hours at most.

I've used both with screen on half brightness and save some very heavy days, both would last well until the night and still have some juice left (unlike my PRIV). The Z30 is no longer in my power though, as I passed on to my father who used to have a Z10; needless to say, he no longer complains about running out of juice so quickly.

Looks wise however, the Passport looks more "business" than the Z30. While the Z30 is an amazing device, it doesn't stand out as the PP.

You can't go wrong with either, but in the end I prefer the pkb of the PP, although the Z30's vkb is amazing. Battery wise, both we'll surely have you covered on a regular day.

That's my take as well. Both have their strengths and weaknesses. Unfortunately, to truly appreciate the Passport and it's keyboard with touch sensitivity and Wide-Screen design, you have to USE it first. And to appreciate the power and screen and VKB of the Z30, you have to USE it first. THEN you can make a decision on which is for you. Personally, as long as I'm in the business world, I go with the Passport. If I was only going to use either as my personal device for non-business, I'd go with the Z30.

I have both... passport does have an edge on battery life. The z30 lasts a day with moderate use... passport last me 2 full days.
