OK so I pulled the Z30 off the charger at 7:15 this morning. Checked it at 10:15 down to 80%. Pretty heavy usage this morning emails surfing and checking all apps as per my usual day and usage when I used my Z-10 as well as listening to music on my 45 minute drive in. Much better than the Z-10 I'm hoping to get full day without having to charge. We shall see. How is anyone else finding the battery so far?

Not got one myself, but have spoken to a friend who has. He, like me, is a very heavy user, and he said he left his house at 6.30am on Monday, and returned at around 11pm. He used GPS for over an hour, maybe 30 EM/txts, browsed, played games - he said he really hammered the Z30, as much as he could whilst not actually in meetings or working, and had 4% left. Pretty impressive. Personally, I have the Z, and carry 4 (yes, four) spare batteries, all picked up cheap online. As much as the Z10 battery is rubbish (maybe 6hrs heavy use, 10 light), the ability to swap still wins every time for me.

My Z-10 was horrible obviously given the weak battery. I had it plugged in all the time at work, in my truck and when I got home using the PlayBook charger which helped charge quickly. This is so much better.

I unplugged my Z30 on Monday night at 9pm. Tuesday morning 6 am drove 6 hours round trip on a rural service call using Maps and listening to my music over blue tooth. About 30 minutes talk time and heavy browsing. When I got home about 5pm still had 30%.

Update at 2:18 52% left I have been hammering on this device all day. Thats 7 hours 48% used for once a truthful operating time on a battery. This thing is amazing me awesome device!

Best battery on a phone ever had. Left home around 6am returning at 8pm and still 40%. Only this worth the Z30. And I'm using it only for 3 days so I believe after a week or so will lasts longer.

I'm f*cking impressed with the battery life. Took it off the socket on 14th, 22:30. At the moment 11%. Moderate usage. Damn unbelievable!

I would love to take a run at 2200 mAh, buuuuut I won't touch it. INSTEAD...I heard the inside of the battery smelled funny.

10:15 15 hours with no charge down to 23%. It's nice to be able to use a smartphone all day hard without having to worry if it will get through the day! The Z30 is a true smartphone!

Solid heavy use of the Z30 all day from 6 : 30 am and it's 10 : 15pm and the battery is at 30%. This beauty and the beast is really really really good!

Z10 on 10.1 leaves me paranoid on battery.
Z30 on 10.2 is good, and will get better over time. Now it's at least on par with xperia Z, if not better

So far so good with the battery, and much better then my z10 at this point. I had taken it off the charger at 8 am this morning after an all night charge. Right now, as im typing this its 11pm in edmonton, and my battery is at 23 percent still ! thats about 15 hours now that ive been running with moderate to heavy usage. Its very impressive, and im super happy with this battery life ! havent seen anything like this since the days of the 8900 LOL !

Well. Got my z30 yesterday so this was my first full day of use.

Pulled it off the charger at 7:40am. It's now 11:37pm and I have 23% left. I've been using my phone A LOT.. 1.5hours talking, BBM Video for 5-10 min, heavy BBM and CB10 usage as well as music for about 45 minutes and about 50 emails and downloading numerous attachments, took 40 or so pictures at various jobsites... this thing is a BEAST.

Seems that the Z30 does have an amazing battery then, but, regardless, I'm sticking with the Z, and it's admittedly poor battery performance. My Mrs is due to drop a baby in the coming weeks, and if I get the call on the hop, I'm gonna be a lot more comfortable with my 1800 battery, and its 3 brothers I carry as spares, over the super-duper Z30, and it's stuck in one.
