    Hey all.

Still getting to know my Z30.

Latest question -- how should the Z30 battery life be on BB10.2.1.2102 while the phone is unplugged and idling?

Last two times I've had the battery off the charger but not doing much, it went from 100% to 71% in six-and-a-half hours, and from 100% to 91% in three hours. System burned 31% over that time! according to the device monitor.

Is this normal, or is there a rogue process in one of my apps that I should be tracking down? Just removed the android versions of MS Office and MS OneDrive to see if that was it, as I added them most recently.

But if that's just how it should be -- if that is normal running down even when asleep/idling -- then I won't worry.

If you've updated recently then your OS is probably still indexing files.

Updated when I got it, last Friday.

But yes, that makes sense. (This is why I ask the experienced!)

    Indexing takes hours, not days.
There is something going on or that's how it drains. I would suspect Android apps first since they are usually always running in the background.

    There's Android, always causing problems...

Removed Office, OneDrive, SNESDroid, (non-functioning) Pandora, and the Nokia X Store. Also deleted and re-installed Google Maps, after also deleting the Google Account and Google Play Music apps. Result: the phone is back to losing almost no battery on idle. 2% in two hours.

So it clearly was something in there. May try to bring back Office and OneNote at some future point, and see if they can be installed without killing the battery.
