I currently have the q10 but was very intrigued about the z30. I dont have an upgrade so I was willing to pay the 550 dollars for the phone which is full price. When I was speaking to the representative she told me that theres a new thing that certain customers get a "valued coupon" or something like that which ranges from "50- to 400" dollars. She told me I had a 300 coupon. I thought she was totally lieing cause I never heard of such a thing. She said its new and its for customers who cant get the 2 year price. To my amazement it only cost me 250 dollars plus tax for my z30 which is unbelievable. Just wanted to share my story with u guys

I just called up about purchasing the z30. I was gonna pay full retail which was 550 plus tax. the rep told me that theres some new thing to certain customers that its a coupon that ranges from 50 to 400 dollars. Mine was 300 dollars. She said let me check to see if it will work. She puts me on hold and im figuring its bull crap and it wont work cause I never heard of such a thing. she comes back and says it worked so I payed 250 plus tax

I didnt go to the store. I called up at ordered it. I actually called yesterday and spoke to one rep about buying it. He never mentioned it to me about the coupon so I was gonna pay 550 dollars but I decided to wait a day and see if I wanted to pay that money. Then today I called up and I got it for 300 dollars cheaper. Like I said before I thought it was total bull crap but it wasnt

Verizon rep referred to it as an "ineligible device offer". Per rep, it ranges from $50 - $300 and is attached to line verses account - not to say it cannot be used to upgrade any line. The amount is not available for viewing online, but both the store and the 800# have access to the amount. Rep stated there was no rhyme or reason to the amount, as explained in their training. I learned I had a $100 coupon attached to 1 of 2 lines on my account, a Z10 and iphone 5, both upgraded in Mar-May 2013 time frame. Unfortunately, that only drops my price for Z30 to $450. I would have jumped at $350, but wasn't in the cards for me.

You guys can also use the device payment program. They don't advertise that, but basically you pay for your device in installments over 1 yr. You can pay it off anytime you choose. No disconnects within the last 6 months, and you can still upgrade anytime, also there is no requirement for a 2 yr contract. THIS IS NOT THE EDGE PROGRAM

It's random. Just call and mention the discount and ask if it is available on your lines.

Great Post guys thank you for sharing the wealth. Post like these are what pulled me away from Apple and eventually me buying my first Berry. I was on Apple forums for a while completely different feel but CrackBerry is the best for its dept of character and helpful members.

Question for the OP and the previous poster who also had a $300 credit, when was your last official upgrade (through verizon)?

My last upgrade was when Verizon released the Z10 if I remember correctly March time frame. The rep also stated the coupon does not expire so on the fence whether I go to Z30 or wait for next BB device.

I was just curious if they did it in some ploy for people buying phones elsewhere, but after reading other forums about this deal I feel like it's not.

A post on slickdeals had a convo with a rep via the Vzw website and the first one said they would only get $200 and an additional $100 if they traded in their phone, they closed that and re opened a chat with another rep saying no trade in needed, and still have a $300 discount.

I'm currently booting up my comp in an attempt to talk to a rep about the 2 lines I have on my account.

Just got out of a chat with a sales rep on the verizon website. She was quick to acknowledge the offer. I asked if she could check my account and see if anything was eligible.

    On my account I have:
    - BlackBerry Q10
    - Samsung S3
    - Original galaxy tab ( from back when they offered it for $99, couldn't pass it up)
    - Jet Pack

After looking at my account she told me the last 4 numbers of the line that was eligible for $300 off, after a few seconds looking at the numbers I noticed that the line was my tablet line.

This puzzled me and I remembered that I sent the tablet in for repairs once and the line has been listed as a test device instead of actually having the product name listed which could make them assume it was a phone.

She then quickly said that was the only line eligible and was only valid in store. (which was actually good because I was not planning on buying a phone right now anyway)

The line with the tablet runs out in January and I plan on cancelling it considering I don't use the tablet anymore anyway, I'm tempted to use the $300 to buy the z30 and still cancel said line in January.
