Audio Problems on Z30
I started having audio problems on my Z30 it started this morning where if I hadn't been awake before my alarm I would of slept in for work. My alarm was going off but no audio just the Vibrator going off. There were odd spurts of sound but nothing that would of wakened me.
After a reboot the sound came back, Shortly after I pressed the mute key to pause the music but sayit overrides the button and says Sayit replies to() I don't know how to answer that. The problem has returned again where even my music on my phone will not play. After a while having closed the app for some time, I put my music on, but the volume is max (audibly), but on minimum but not muted. No matter how low or high the volume is set the sound (audibly) is max but if the volume is all the way down (muted) it is audibly muted. It even affects the blue tooth connection. on my way home from work I had to reboot my phone to get the music to play through my car which was kind of awkward because I was giving a co-worker a lift home.
I don't want to wipe my device because I will loose my progress on games. Is there a way to back up the phone and do a restore but restore specific app data like Sims Free play and Minion rush for example I really don't want to loose months of progress and purchase items like the golden banana in Minion rush?

I have seen this on my z30 too. it was caused by sideloaded apps that had lots of sound. in my case, it was scramble with friends. once i deleted that sideloaded app, i havent had that happen once.

My Z30 was acting very weird when I used the music player after I installed Sayit.
I deleted it and everything went back to normal

That's what I thought too. It seems after Sayit was updated that this problem has started ;)

* I contacted SayIt via BlackBerry World to advise them of the issue. ;)

+1 great catch, hopefully Sayit's next update with fix

I had the same problem as well and it was sayit. Uninstalled sayit and everything goes back to normal. There were some sayit reviews saying the same thing days ago so I think it's pretty well spread and well known to the developer. Sure it will get fixed soon.

Same here. Installed the new version of Say it in headless mode and started having audio problems when playing media. I uninstalled it and the problem is gone.

Ok
If you check the Say it thread in the bb10 apps forum you will find that the problem is that the sound cuts off if you tap the pause button (middle button you use to start say it in headless mode) seems if you press it again the sound works again. It is as if say it is running and so the phone see the media as busy so the audio is tied up. I have not tried this yet but the author of the thread seems to be able to repeat the process.

OK reinstalled it and confirmed the sound problem is just the pause button allowing Sayit to take over audio function. Press it again and audio is restored

I had the same problem. Wish I saw this thread earlier. I noticed my audio problem happened after hitting the mute button. I just toggled the run in background to off and no more audio problems.
