Stumbled across this article going through my twitter feed. Thought it was a good fairly well thought out reasoning for choosing the Z30 above all other phones. Worth the read.

Yes read it this morning, very good write up someone should send to BlackBerry. Or at least send to a moderator and get put on the front page of CB.

I'm on Z10 now, and really love how BB10 working.
Blackberry Hub is outstanding, which no one can compete with.
Now I'm thinking to switch to Z30

I'm sticking with my Z10. I love this thing. But my next BlackBerry will have a larger screen.

I switched from a Z10 it's a upgrade on almost everything. Very solid build quality, speakers and battery. Professional and sleek looking phone I first tried it out from a BlackBerry rep at the Air Canada Centre and had to get one.

I agree that z30 is my beast of all smartphone I had and with os 10.2.1.xx it has the best experience in use. The apps are still a problem for some but with android apps choosing wisely you have the best of all.

Windows setting, tiles is not my thing and liked android better but I moved from it because the os and apps are not trusted and google controlling to much. Iphone will be a choice but I really dislike itunes and the os is like android and the gamble buying the Z10 was good and that's why I also bought the Z30 and must say it it's my beast for years to come.

Thanks for the positive and thorough write up. Enjoyed the read.

Its been easy for competitors to promote negative stories about BlackBerry, focusing on the business of the past. But Im not focused on who BlackBerry used to be Im focused on what BlackBerry will be today and in the future. John Chen, December 2013

25 hour battery . And technically the battery is removable just not that easily. Not on the go that's for sure.

Newfangled, btw great write up. Just curious, it seemed Nokia was the only entry level phone you used for your comparison, why? Do you think your opinion would have been different if you had used another Window phone?

You mean if I had tried a high-end Windows Phone like a Lumia 928?

The hardware certainly would have been nicer, but my personal hangups over the OS would be the same. The live tiles are nice, but still don't come close to the functionality of the BB10 Hub when it comes to viewing and managing communications.

This is the best article that I have read about the different phones, and one of the best threads that I have come across in a very long time. I ordered a Z30 yesterday, though I love my Q10, which replaced my 9930 that I owned from 2011- 2013. I played w/one in the store yesterday and that was all it took.

I had also owned an iPhone 4s (as my 2nd phone) from 2011-2013 (gave it to my godson). It was a very good phone and I didn't have any real complaints. Everything you said about it was absolutely true.

My last experience w/a Windows Mobile phone was from 2007-2009 when I had the Samsung IP- 830 (Windows Mobile 5). It had its good features, but the learning curve was so steep that after 2 years, there were STILL many things that I didn't understand. The phone seemed unnecessarily complicated, so I switched to a Blackberry Tour 9630 in 2009, the 9650 in 2010, and the 9930 in 2011. I found that in 2 hours I understood the Blackberry more that I understood my Windows Mobile phone in 2 YEARS! I'm SURE that the new Windows 8 phones are MUCH better, but I'm still traumatized by the experience.

As for Android, my only experience w/them is w/my Google Nexus 7 tablet which I currently own. I refused to get an iPad, and believe it or not, my Nexus 7 replaced my iPhone (no monthly bill, bigger screen, same functionality). I absolutely love the device and take it everywhere w/me (I even call it "my best friend"), however I FULLY agree w/you about the intrusiveness of Google. That being said, I will say w/o hesitation that If I didn't get the Z30, and I wished to switch platforms, the Nexus 5 would easily have been my next choice.

Once again, you hit the nail on the head in every area. Thanks so much for taking the time to share.

This article should be posted everywhere.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to ALL my brothers and sisters on Crackberry!!!
