    I have been constantly getting this message. At the same time my Data connection keeps dropping. I have called the operator many times and they think it might be a hardware problem. Any of you experience getting this error? By the way im on 10.3.

    This cause is returned when a supplementary service requested by the user cannot be provided by the network.

    Weird. If you're still on warranty, should get a new one and if that doesn't work, it's your provider.

    What i want to know is if its a hardware issue? Software issue? Or provider/carrier issue...

    I'm guessing you're trying to use a carrier that isn't compatible with your Z10 revision.

    Know this is too obvious, have you checked to be sure your APN setting is correct?

    I started getting this problem on my Passport running 10.3.908 since a couple of days. Everything used to work flawlessly for about a month. Funnily it is enough to overwrite the APN and everything works fine again. Did you by any chance find a more intelligent solution to the problem?

    What do you mean with overwriting the APN?

    Vodafone NL has this issue also sometimes. It is carrier network issue usually.
    When I have this error, I put my passport in flight mode and normal again and it works again

    This issue cropped up out of the blue on my Passport (running the latest 10.3.1), Airtel connection (India). And it refused to go away - the suggested work arounds did not really work for me.

    However, what worked for me was to change the network mode to "3G & 2G" from "4G, 3G & 2G". I believe that this issue is caused by the fact that the Airtel 4G settings/network is not compatible with the Passport. However, at a service level, if you have a 4G sim, the network might be just trying to push and enable 4G settings on an incompatible handset. I know that Airtel now treats all 3G plans as 4G plans - provided you have the 4G SIM.

    I just started facing this issue on my Q10(Using Arabic model in India on Airtel 4g). Until 24 or so hours ago, 4G was working flawlessly. Now, I see the cause code is 30. The first call I made to airtel was as usual useless. I was asked to restart the device, reset battery etc., It was useless too. I called back again and thankfully got a sensible rep and she took a complaint for their network team to check this. I did mention that I researched a little bit on the issue though. I hope they fix it asap. I'll remember to post an update when this is over. I just hope, I don't have to move to another provider.

    I have the same problem & same error code (30) for quite some time now... The carrier couldn't help, I'm just turning OFF/ON the Mobile Network & Data Services!
    Out of curiosity (I do suspect something!) :
    * Are you with Wind/Freedom?!?
    * Is your mobile unlocked?!?

    This happened to me with my DTEK60 when I was in the US recently. Telus could not figure it out, but it started working after three days. Four days back in Canada now, and data is not working here now, despite correct apn settings (according to Telus). No issues before, until I restored the phone software (with all updates).
